Welcome Home!
St. Anselm’s is a growing community of traditional Anglican Christians who gather for worship, to share the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and the faith of the ancient and undivided Church (see our Mission Statement).  We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m.  Our church is located at 375 Lighthouse Avenue at the corner of Monterey Avenue in Pacific Grove.

If you are curious as to why a new Anglican Church has been formed on the Monterey Peninsula, or if you are a committed Christian seeking to deepen your spiritual life through prayer and worship, you are invited to visit St. Anselm’s.  You will discover a community of folks who have left behind the liberal theology of post-modern churches and whose first call is continued growth in Christ as expressed in traditional Anglican service.  Children of all ages are welcome here where they will experience authentic Anglican worship and participate in the services along with their parents.

On two or three Sundays each month we have Morning Prayer from the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, led by lay readers who also read a sermon from Anglican clergy.  On the other Sundays, Holy Communion is celebrated by one of our visiting priests or deacons.  At present we are being served by Fr. Mike Penfield or Deacon Peter Vogel, both of St. Luke’s Chapel in Los Altos Hills, and occasionally by Fr. Brian Foos of Christ the Redeemer Church and St. Andrew’s Academy at Lake Almanor.  We are very blessed to have such excellent clergy supporting us while we search for our own priest. We invite you to come and see!
